Transcendent Coraliform Intelligence
The galmeron are a coral-like species that occupy a biological category unlike the conventional plant and animal life of Qualx. Closely related in functional terms to the kuma'an they represent something substantially more advanced: A living intelligence capable of interfacing with kuma'an information structures while processing those structures at depths the kuma'an themselves cannot reach. Their bodies form complex, mineral-rich coral-matrices, and gallium is among their natural food sources rather than merely a substance their biology learned to tolerate. They consume and incorporate mineral material as part of their ordinary metabolism, making mineral-rich environments an important component of Galmeron ecology.
Galmeron intelligence is not simply greater in degree. It appears to operate differently enough that it has been described as transcended sentience: and order of cognition beyond the familiar sentient species of Qualx. They can recognize deep patterns, translate living signals, interpret anomalous system behavior, and derive meaning from information that would other wise remain inaccessible. Critically, the relationship is not reciprocal; a galmeron may understand information originating within kuma'an networks, while a kuma'an cannot necessarily comprehend information held or produced by galmeron. Their existence therefore introduces an entirely new layer into Qualxian information ecology. The galmeron are a high-order processor existing beyond the kuma'an network rather than merely another participant within it.
