Nirazak are small, pressure-adapted beings whose bodies seem almost purpose-built for the hidden breathing systems of Qualx. Usually standing only three to four feet tall, they possess long bracing arms, oversized seal-pad hands and feet, spring-like legs, slit vents along the jaw and neck, and expandable torso pockets used to regulate pressure. These features allow them to crawl through narrow ducts, anchor themselves to walls and ceilings, detect tiny changes in airflow and vibration, and reach parts of the city that larger species simply cannot access.
Their greatest strength is not raw physical power, but their extraordinary sensitivity to the environment around them. A nirazak can read pressure shifts, leaks, machinery rhythms, vibrations, and airflow through a combination of their vents, pressure pockets, and highly sensitive seal pads. This makes them invaluable as vent workers, pressure regulators, maintenance specialists, emergency responders, and diagnosticians. Their spring-and-seal locomotion allows rapid movement between nearby surfaces, while their broad hands and feet also make them exceptionally capable swimmers despite water not being their native environment.
