Primary Role

The Transit Officer is the standard field-level enforcement rank within Trade & Transit. Transit Officers oversee the lawful movement of people, cargo, and vessels through Guild-controlled transit systems, ensuring that travel authorization, manifests, inspections, and routine trade requirements remain in compliance with Guild law.

Primary Duties

  • Verify cargo manifests.
  • Check travel authorization and movement permissions.
  • Conduct vessel inspections.
  • Identify routine discrepancies and violations.
  • Issue authorized citations and enforcement notices.
  • Document inspections, findings, and suspected violations.

Jurisdiction

Transit Officer authority applies primarily to movement, transportation, trade compliance, cargo documentation, vessel access, and routine transit enforcement within Guild-controlled systems.

Limits of Authority

Transit Officers handle routine enforcement rather than major investigations, high-risk seizures, or complex jurisdictional disputes. Matters exceeding field authority are escalated through the Trade & Transit command structure.
